Unemployed Graduate Interns Programme and TVET Experiential Learning Opportunities for Youth 2025

Unemployed Graduate Interns Programme & TVET Work Experience for Youth
Okay, listen up if you’re young, unemployed, and living in Alfred Ndzo Health District, the Eastern Cape Department of Health is actually doing something useful for a change. They’re throwing open the doors for internships and hands-on learning gigs – legit chances to get your foot in the door, not just another “send your CV and never hear back” scheme.
Here’s the lowdown:
What’s On Offer?
- Graduate Internship Programme (24 Months)
This one’s for you if you’ve already slogged through a National Diploma or Degree. Fields? Think Human Resource Management, Public Management/Admin, Financial Management, Social Work, Hospitality/Nutrition, Public Relations – you get the vibe. You’ll be stuck in for two years (yep, 24 months), learning real stuff, not just making coffee. - TVET Experiential Learning (18 Months)
This is for those who’ve survived N4, N5, and N6 at a TVET college and now need that 18 months of actual work experience to get their qualification stamped. You can apply if you studied HR, Finance, Office Admin, Public Management, or even Artisan Trades. Basically, if you want to stop being “that student” and start being “that person with experience,” this is for you.
How to Get In (Don’t Mess This Up):
For Graduate Interns:
- CV (please, make it readable)
- Grade 12 certificate
- Diploma or Degree copy
- An affidavit saying you haven’t done an internship like this before (don’t lie – they’ll know)
For TVET Experiential Learning:
- CV (seriously, double-check for typos)
- Grade 12 certificate
- N4, N5, and N6 certificates
- An official letter from your college begging for workplace experience
- Affidavit: swear you haven’t done this before
General Rules:
- You have to actually live in Alfred Ndzo Health District (no chancers from Joburg, please)
- Age: 18-35. Sorry, if you’re outside that bracket, maybe try something else.
Where to Send Your Stuff:
Drop your CV and all the supporting papers at one of these HR offices – not via WhatsApp, not via smoke signal:
- Greenville Hospital HR Admin (Bizana)
- Mount Ayliff Hospital
- Sipetu Hospital (Ntabankulu)
- Taylor Bequest Hospital (Matatiele)
Deadline? 27 June 2025. Don’t even bother if you’re late or forget half your documents – you’ll just end up on the reject pile.
Why Bother?
Look, it’s no secret youth unemployment sucks, especially in the public health sector. This is a solid way to get some experience, learn from actual professionals, and maybe – just maybe – score yourself a job after. Or at least you’ll have something to put on your CV that’s not “waiting for opportunity.”
Some Extra Heads-Ups:
- Certify your documents where needed. They love stamps.
- Only shortlisted folks get a call. If they ghost you, move on.
- This isn’t a promise of a full-time job, so don’t bank on it.
- NEVER pay anyone to apply. If someone asks, it’s a scam. Run.
So, if you’re serious about building your future (and not just binge-watching series all year), get your act together and apply. Any questions? Call your local hospital’s HR department and bug them – that’s literally what they’re paid for. Good luck!
